Marcel sits within academia as a PhD researcher in Statistical Machine Learning at the University of Oxford building on an academic foundation from the University of Cambridge and Harvard University. Combining deep academic knowledge with significant commercial experience, he previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in their London office. He also served as the first business employee of Series A, AI manufacturing startup AxionRay. Where he played a crucial role in the company’s expansion to offices in the US and UK. Axion raised >$20M from investors including Bessemer, Boeing, Amplo and inspired.
