Crediflow AI raises £1.5m to scale AI-native infrastructure for commercial credit

We're delighted to share that Crediflow AI, the Manchester-based fintech building AI infrastructure for commercial lenders, has secured £1.5 million in new funding.

The round was led by PXN Ventures via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II), with participation from Haatch and angel investors. The capital will accelerate development of Crediflow's platform, support engineering and product hires, and help the team serve more banks and specialist lenders.

Commercial Lending Still Runs on Spreadsheets

Commercial loans are the lifeblood of SMEs. Yet the process behind each one is still largely manual.

Credit teams pull financial statements, bank transactions and borrower documents out of spreadsheets, PDFs, email threads and disconnected systems, then rebuild them into analysis by hand. That takes hours per deal. It limits how much business a lender can take on, and it makes smaller loans, the ones many SMEs depend on, expensive to underwrite.

How Crediflow Helps

Crediflow's platform brings that fragmented data together and turns it into structured credit analysis. It uses AI to automate much of the work involved in originating, assessing, approving and monitoring commercial loans, including:

  • Extracting and standardising borrower financial information into financial spreading
  • Analysing cash flow
  • Producing credit memos in each lender's preferred format

The result is more capacity for credit teams to assess deals and investigate risk, rather than prepare paperwork. The platform is already used by lenders across the UK, Europe and the US.

With this funding, Crediflow will extend automation across the full loan lifecycle, with workflows tailored to each lender's credit policies and processes. By bringing origination, underwriting and monitoring together, the aim is to reduce repeated work and help lenders grow their loan books without a matching rise in administrative costs.

A Founder Who Has Lived the Problem

Crediflow was founded by CEO Drey Kenfack, who has more than a decade of experience in commercial lending and private credit, including senior credit roles at Ford Credit Bank, DF Capital Bank and Advance Global Capital. Having originated and structured transactions himself, Drey saw first-hand how manual processes constrain a lender's ability to grow.

Last year, Crediflow was also one of eight companies to receive funding through PXN's PraeSeed programme, a 12-week cohort-based investment programme run in partnership with the British Business Bank and NPIF II to help scale early-stage businesses.

Drey Kenfack, CEO and Founder of Crediflow AI, said:

“Growing a loan book takes more than finding borrowers and having capital available. You need the capacity to assess those businesses, get decisions through approval and stay on top of risk once the money is out the door. I've spent much of my career doing that work.

When every transaction requires hours of manual preparation, it affects how much business a lender can take on and which deals are worth pursuing. We built Crediflow to bring that workload down and give credit teams more time to understand the borrower and structure the financing.”

Joe Ball, Senior Investment Associate at PXN Ventures, said:

“Businesses of all sizes and across all sectors often rely on commercial loans and finance for a multitude of reasons, but the processes involved in granting this finance are often largely manual, making the process inefficient and slowing down lending decisions. By automating this area of the sector, Drey and the Crediflow AI team are not just supporting lenders but also removing barriers for companies that require funding.”

Why We Backed Crediflow

Crediflow fits squarely within what we look for at Haatch: B2B software solving a deep, costly pain point, led by a founder with genuine domain expertise. Every hour saved on credit preparation compounds across every deal a lender assesses.

It's also a great example of investing alongside regional partners like PXN Ventures to back ambitious founders outside London.

We're proud to support Drey and the Crediflow team and look forward to the next stage of their journey.
