We Are Fulfilment (WAF), a leading UK-based e-commerce fulfilment centre, is thrilled to announce a £400,000 investment from Haatch, supported by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA). This new funding builds on WAF’s previous investment from Foresight Group, representing a significant milestone in WAF’s mission to deliver advanced, technology-driven fulfilment solutions.

The investment, led by Haatch, will drive several key initiatives at WAF, including technology enhancements and operational efficiencies designed to elevate the fulfilment experience for WAF’s growing partner base of e-commerce brands. This partnership reinforces WAF’s commitment to expanding its local impact, building on Nottingham’s reputation as a hub of innovation.

“This partnership with Haatch strengthens our commitment to fostering innovation right here in Nottingham,” said Trent Peek, Co-founder of We Are Fulfilment. “With Haatch alongside Foresight, we are well-positioned to take our technological capabilities to the next level, empowering e-commerce businesses to meet their customers’ needs more effectively while growing their own brands.”

Fred Soneya, Co-founder and General Partner at Haatch, said: “At Haatch, we invest in companies that are redefining their industries, and We Are Fulfilment is doing just that in the e-commerce space. WAF’s commitment to leveraging technology to create efficient, transparent fulfilment solutions aligns perfectly with our focus on innovative, scalable businesses. Their dedication to empowering e-commerce brands with real-time insights and operational excellence is a game-changer, and we’re excited to support them in realising their growth ambitions. This partnership is about driving impactful change and setting new standards in fulfilment.”

The collaboration with Haatch represents a unified approach to growth, enabling WAF to leverage additional resources, local expertise, and community support. This support from the Early Stage Angel Investment Fund brings essential regional support to WAF’s expansion, making Nottingham a centre of excellence for e-commerce fulfilment.

Claire Ward, Mayor of the East Midlands, expressed her support for the initiative: “Supporting our local economy is one of my priorities as Mayor of the East Midlands, and I’m delighted we’re partnering with Haatch to deliver the Early Stage Angel Investment Fund to support our local businesses, such as We Are Fulfilment, to help our regional economy thrive. I’m keen to see even more local businesses benefit from this significant investment and strong collaborative partnership.”

The new investment from Haatch reaffirms WAF’s vision to redefine fulfilment for e-commerce brands across the UK, strengthening its position as a local industry leader committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Advisers who recommend EIS often ask us about risk.
The asset class is routinely labelled “high risk”, but that description is often too simple to be useful in real client conversations.

You've seen the headlines. $300 billion wiped from software stocks in a single session. Salesforce down 27% year-to-date. Atlassian off 35% in a week. The SaaSpocalypse has dominated every feed for the past six weeks. Like most narratives that move this fast, it's partly right, partly overblown, and mostly missing the point.

When we first backed AIApply in March 2024 through our SEIS fund, we were backing more than just a company; we were backing a thesis and a team. The job search experience is fundamentally broken. Candidates face a fragmented, opaque process that often feels stacked against them. We believed AI could transform this experience, putting the power back in job seekers' hands.
