David’s journey has combined deep technology, investing and solid academic foundations. Currently within the world of Deep Tech, he serves as Founder’s Associate at Nostos Genomics, a startup that helps diagnose people with rare genetic illnesses in <10 minutes and has raised ~$10M. Nostos is a prototype Nural Fund investment being formed off the basis of research from ETH Zürich while retaining a clear commercialisation route.

He started off his career with a degree in Human Genetics from Trinity College Dublin. Subsequently, he joined Seedcamp, a European focused pre-seed firm that has backed companies like UiPath, Revolut and Synthesia, one of the latest AI unicorns from the UK. While at Seedcamp he learned the ropes of early stage venture investing and the ins and outs of the renowned Seedcamp Nation, the Seedcamp method of supporting their startups.He then joined Point Nine Capital, a top 3 seed-focused venture capital firm in Europe (Dealroom EMEA 2023 Rankings) focused on early-stage B2B software with investments in companies like Algolia, Chainalysis and NexHealth. Working closely with Christoph Janz (Midas List 2023) as an Associate and subsequently his Chief of Staff, David followed the Point Nine approach of finding, selecting and supporting companies with a focus on the fundamentals of building sustainable long-term focused businesses.
